Model: SFM Scanner

Description: This 3D model is an open-source project for a scanner utilizing structure from motion (SFM) algorithms. It enables the reconstruction of 3D scenes based on point correspondences between images captured with a standard camera.

Usage: It is used for creating 3D models of objects by processing images to extract their spatial information.

Construction Features: The model involves feature extraction using the SIFT algorithm, outlier removal with MAPSAC, and automatic 3D position reconstruction using the Crust algorithm. Results can be exported in STL format.

Printing Recommendations: To operate the model, you will need to install Matlab (version 2010a recommended) and necessary toolkits. The process requires setup and can be simplified using additional libraries such as Vincent Rabaud's SFM toolbox and Philip Torr's SAM toolkit.
