Model Description: This 3D-printable laser cutter is designed to create an open-source laser cutter with a large cutting area (approximately 1 square meter) at a fraction of the cost of commercial systems, around 5%-10%.

Usage: The model can be used for building a laser cutter and other CNC systems.

Construction Features: The design utilizes inexpensive aluminum extrusions and optics, with most parts 3D printed from ABS. The printed components require about 10 hours of print time on a Makerbot or Reprap and include elements such as NEMA17 motor holders, idler brackets, and pillow block bushing mounts.

Printing Recommendations: For optimal results, use high-quality ABS and configure your printer according to recommendations for printing large parts.
