Model Overview: An electromechanical device designed to restore speech in individuals who have lost their phonatory ability. The model generates mechanical vibrations that mimic the natural function of vocal cords.
Purpose: Used to create artificial speech by modulating airflow in the user's oral cavity.
Construction: The system is composed of two PLA-printed structures housing electromechanical solenoids that produce controlled vibrations. The structures are connected by a flexible TPU joint and are secured around the neck with TPU straps featuring Velcro fasteners for a comfortable and secure fit.
Features: The lightweight and stable design allows for user adaptability. Vibration control can be achieved through a controller or a 555 timer, enabling adjustment of volume and pitch of the speech produced.
Printing Recommendations: It is recommended to use PLA for rigid components and TPU for flexible ones to ensure optimal device performance.
