Problem: The hinge mechanism is the most vulnerable point of carp and feeder chairs. When you press hard on the backrest or over time, the teeth of the latch lick off and the backrest stops holding the set angle. It is almost impossible to find original spare parts for Chinese or branded chairs such as CARP, and buying a new chair is expensive. Solution: This 3D digital model (STL) is a reinforced replica of the internal adjustment mechanism (Type 2). We optimized the tooth geometry for tighter engagement and increased wall thickness in critical areas to help the part last longer than stock. Model specifications: Compatibility: CARP series fishing chairs (Type 2), feeder chairs with a similar swivel unit. Purpose: Restoring fixation of the back angle. File format: STL (high detail, print ready). Design: Tested hole alignment for easy assembly with stock bolts. 3D Printing Recommendations: The chair is used outdoors and experiences static loads from the weight of a person: Material: Only engineering plastics are recommended: Nylon, PA6-CF (polyamide with carbon fiber) or ABS+. Nylon is a better choice because of its toughness (it won't crack under stress). PLA should absolutely not be used, PETG should only be used as a temporary solution. Filling: 100% (Solid) - the part must be monolithic to withstand pressure. Layer height: 0.15 – 0.2 mm. Post-processing: Clean the part from supports and ensure that the teeth run smoothly before final assembly.
