This support is made to replace the support in my Hyundai i20. I kept the base of the support with contacts for the power supply and made some slots for the power cable to pass through.

PRINTED MATERIAL: I use black PLA to print the prototype, which is perfect for desktop use. However, for use as a car holder, it is highly recommended to use ASA or ABS, which can withstand 40-50°C deformation that may occur in a car during summer.

MATERIAL REQUIRED: For assembly, you will need 6 screws 2x10 and a fairly stiff spring 5x10, which you can recover from old devices.

INSTALLATION:

First of all, insert the spring “from the front”.
Using a screwdriver, pull the spring out and insert it into the “top grip” pin, keeping it in the seat but slightly outward so you can see the pin.
Then slide the two “bottom grips” into place and close everything with the “back side”.
Tighten the 2 bottom screws.
Assemble the support for the car as in the photo with the “rear mount”. Lay it on its back and tighten the 4 locking screws.

Alternatively, instead of a car holder, you can print and install a “desk mount”. To further increase grip and prevent your phone from slipping while driving, you can glue down pieces of rubber salvaged from an old camera.
