These mirrors are a modern, aerodynamic, and sleek upgrade over the stock mirrors for the 6th generation Honda VFR800 Interceptor.
Installation Instructions:
- The mirrors bolt to the stock bases using the original hardware (a black socket cap bolt and 4 washers).
- The 360-degree swiveling mirror head attaches with an M6 bolt and corresponding hex nut (2 bolts and nuts total).
- There is a circular recess in the stalk for a small M6 washer which I have included the STL for above; the washer's thickness determines the gap between the mirror stalk and swivel.
- The mirror glass must be custom cut; I recommend finding a cheap mirror (max ~3.5mm thick) and using the provided stencil as a cutting guide.
- Glue the mirror glass onto the swivels with a strong epoxy, ensuring to sand the plastic part first for better adhesion.
- Print Setup:
- Printer: Creality Ender 3 v3 KE
- Material: Bambu high speed PETG
- Support: Tree supports (for angles >60 degrees)
- Infill: 25% (cubic)
- Print with stalks and swivels upright on the leading edge.
- It’s recommended to use a sticky bed or a raft as the edges may warp.
