A simple droid model with orange caps that hold the two-part base together. The model size creates a 6" ball and is approximately 7.5" tall. The ball is hollow for those wishing to integrate electronics.

Inside the print files, you will find a Parts_List.txt document that lists the files required for a complete droid build. Note that older versions are available for those who need to reprint the original files; use the list to identify what is needed for the latest revision.

Important: It is recommended to use support for certain prints. An orange detail ring has been added at the bottom of the dome for better matching with the real BB-8. If you have a heat gun, you can slightly soften the plastic parts to better fit them. Be careful not to overheat parts, or you may have to reprint them!

A 'Light' version of the body file has been added if you don't need the spherical interior. New side panel files have been created; download all 'caps' and 'inserts' to upgrade your BB-8. The Main Dome file has been improved with a higher polygon count (4x) and a modified small lens.

A single color dome with panel insets and lines has been created for users without multiple filament colors. Look for the file 'BB-8_Dome_Simple.stl'.
