Easter Egg Dispenser Bunny

The Easter Egg Dispenser Bunny is a fun and decorative, easy-to-print design perfect for the Easter season. The bunny features a flip-top head that allows you to load mini chocolate Easter eggs into an internal channel that runs around the back and out the front bottom. A stop is incorporated at the bottom to keep the Easter eggs from rolling straight through, allowing them to be dispensed one at a time. When one egg is removed, the others shuffle down the channel, making the next egg ready to be dispensed.

When scaled to standard size, the dispenser measures 150mm x 105mm x 35mm and can hold mini chocolate eggs measuring up to 28mm x 22mm. The internal channel at standard size measures 30mm x 23.5mm, allowing for a rolling clearance of 1.5 to 2mm. If you have a sufficiently large build plate, the design can be uniformly scaled up to accommodate larger Easter eggs.

Tips:

• Measure your Easter eggs before printing to ensure they roll freely in the internal channel.
• Load the eggs sideways to ensure they can easily roll through the channel.
• Hold the first egg in place while loading to prevent subsequent eggs from knocking it out.
• Before loading, check the internal channel for print debris and ensure it is as smooth as possible for minimal resistance when the eggs slide down.

Dispensing eggs is straightforward; just gently remove the available egg, and the remaining eggs will shift down into place. Slow and gentle removal will help ensure that the remaining eggs do not gain enough momentum to roll down and bypass the retaining ridge at the end of the channel.

This dispenser is purely for fun and has been designed as a simple one-piece print with two components. The clearances are intentionally loose to ensure successful printing regardless of the slicing app or machine used. The notch at the front of the joint serves solely for alignment purposes, ensuring the head sits straight in its lowered position.

A 2-part version is also available for those with small build plates, allowing for separate printing of the body and head, which can then be slotted together. This version has not been tested in print yet, but it’s a minor revision to the original one-piece version that prints reliably.
