Model Description: This model is a scaled-down version of a full-size inner ear model designed for educational purposes. It aids in understanding the anatomy of the inner ear by using colored tubes to represent the semicircular canals.

Usage: The model is beneficial for therapists and students looking to study and explain the structure of the inner ear.

Construction Features: The reduced model utilizes colored tubing, eliminating the complexities associated with fluid dynamics, making it more accessible for mass production.

Printing Recommendations:

  • Infill: 20%
  • Material: PLA, 1.75 mm
  • Print as oriented
  • Brim may be used for better adhesion
  • Supports are not necessary but may be needed depending on printing conditions

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Cut tubing to approximately 100-130 mm in length.
  2. Apply a small amount of super glue into the model hole before inserting one end of the clear tubing.
  3. Insert and push the filament into the open end of the tube until it stops, then cut.
  4. Apply super glue into the opposite hole and slide the clear tubing with filament into this hole. The tubing should require some force to insert.
